LimX Dynamics Reportedly Plans Up to $300 Million Hong Kong IPO

ByAyshathul Mushrifa

LimX Dynamics, a Shenzhen-based humanoid robotics manufacturer backed by Alibaba Group Holding and JD.com, has confidentially filed for an initial public offering in Hong Kong to raise several hundred million dollars, according to people familiar with the matter.

The company is reportedly working with Citic Securities Co. on the potential listing, with discussions regarding the size and timing of the transaction currently ongoing. Both LimX Dynamics and Citic Securities declined to comment on the matter.

Jesse Liu, Chief Financial Officer of LimX Dynamics, confirmed to Bloomberg TV that the company is in the process of working toward an IPO, though he declined to elaborate further on specific details.

Founded in 2022, LimX Dynamics develops humanoid robots designed for applications across residential homes, manufacturing plants, research facilities, and commercial venues like shopping malls.

The firm's prominent backers include technology giants Alibaba Group Holding Ltd., JD.com Inc., and investment firm IDG Capital. In July 2026, LimX Dynamics completed a $200 million pre-IPO financing round that valued the company at 15 billion yuan.

The potential Hong Kong listing comes amid a broader wave of Chinese robotics companies seeking public capital. Sector pioneer Unitree Robotics is also set to debut in Shanghai after raising approximately 6.1 billion yuan, serving as a key test of investor demand for humanoid systems.

Hong Kong equity listings have raised more than $42 billion in 2026, largely driven by public debuts of artificial intelligence and advanced technology enterprises.
