FANUC America to Showcase Physical AI, Cobots and CNC Innovation at IMTS 2026

FANUC America will showcase the future of manufacturing at IMTS 2026 (Booth 338900), demonstrating how Physical AI, advanced CNC technologies, machining automation and robotics are improving productivity, increasing flexibility and accelerating deployment for manufacturers.

The company will feature Physical AI demonstrations developed with Google Cloud, NVIDIA and Amazon Web Services (AWS), showing how AI agents can interpret handwritten instructions and direct robots to identify, locate and kit parts for manufacturing operations. Attendees will also see generative AI and natural-language commands used to automatically generate Python code and robot programs through FANUC's CRX Vibe Coding demonstration.

FANUC will debut the new portable CRX-3iA collaborative robot, featuring a 3 kg payload and lightweight 11 kg design, alongside broader availability of the new R-50iA Compact DC Controller platform. Designed specifically for CRX applications mounted on autonomous mobile robots (AMRs), the controller supports direct 24V to 48V DC battery power, eliminating the need for a separate inverter and simplifying mobile robot integration.

Digital twin and virtual commissioning technologies will demonstrate how manufacturers can simulate robotic and machining applications, evaluate process changes and improve engineering decisions before equipment is installed. A live digital twin of a robotic spot-welding application will feature NVIDIA Isaac Sim integrated with FANUC's ROBOGUIDE software.

FANUC will also debut its next-generation ROBODRILL DC Series machining centers, new industrial PC models, and advanced painting and material joining technologies, reinforcing its commitment to delivering trusted automation solutions for the evolving manufacturing landscape.
