AgiBot Surpasses Unitree Robotics in Global Humanoid Robot Shipments During H1 2026

AgiBot has surpassed domestic rival Unitree Robotics to become the world's largest humanoid robot vendor in the first half of 2026, according to research from San Francisco-based Smart Analytics Global (SAG).
The Shanghai-based robotics company captured 44% of the global humanoid robot market after shipping approximately 8,400 units from January to June 2026. AgiBot's shipments increased 562% year-on-year, supported by a diversified portfolio that includes full-size bipedal A-series models, compact X-series units, and wheeled G-series robots.
Hangzhou-based Unitree Robotics ranked second globally during the period, shipping approximately 5,900 humanoid robots and securing 31% market share. Unlike AgiBot's multi-product approach, Unitree's humanoid shipments remained concentrated around its flagship G1 model, with education, research, and performance applications representing a significant portion of deployments.
The change in market ranking comes as both companies move toward potential public listings. Unitree is preparing for an IPO on Shanghai's Star Market, setting its initial offering price at 150.8 yuan per share and targeting approximately 6.1 billion yuan (US$904 million) in fundraising. Meanwhile, AgiBot is pursuing a Hong Kong IPO with Citic Securities, China International Capital Corporation (CICC), and Morgan Stanley involved as sponsors.
Unitree reported 1.7 billion yuan in revenue and 591 million yuan in adjusted net profit last year. AgiBot founder and chairman Deng Taihua stated that the company generated more than 1 billion yuan in revenue in 2025 and aims to reach 10 billion yuan by 2027.
Global humanoid robot shipments increased 272% year-on-year to approximately 19,100 units in the first half of 2026. Chinese manufacturers accounted for more than 97% of global shipments, while industrial and commercial applications represented over 70% of deployments.
