The VIPR-L is a configurable indoor autonomous mobile robot designed for transport and custom robotic tasks. It uses dual Hokuyo UST-10LX LiDAR sensors depth cameras and inertial sensors to map spaces and navigate in real time. SLAM software builds maps plans routes and avoids moving obstacles. The robot runs on ROS Melodic powered by an NVIDIA Jetson Xavier for reliable onboard processing. Strong motors and SLA batteries allow operation on indoor surfaces and small thresholds. The open platform supports custom attachments for material transport sanitation research and facility automation applications.
