XYZ Robotics Automates BAUHAUS Container Unloading and Sorting Operations

XYZ Robotics has announced the deployment of its mobile manipulation robotic solution at the BAUHAUS central warehouse in Krefeld, Germany, to fully automate container unloading and sorting processes.

The system, powered by the RockyOne and RockyOne SE robots, manages the complete inbound workflow from overseas containers to warehouse-ready pallets, improving process reliability while eliminating heavy manual labor.

BAUHAUS operates over 290 specialist stores across 19 European countries, with its Krefeld logistics center handling thousands of inbound shipments and over 10,000 product SKUs daily.

Carton variations in size, weight, and stacking patterns create complex operational challenges that exceed the capabilities of conventional automation systems.

XYZ Robotics addresses these complexities through an integrated system. The RockyOne autonomously enters shipping containers to unload loose cartons of varying dimensions, while a barcode system identifies each item in real time for sorting.

The RockyOne SE then builds pallets according to customized stacking patterns, ensuring stable, storage-ready output that transitions directly into warehouse inventory.
