Tacta Systems Unveils Breakthrough Robotic Hands for High-Value Manufacturing

Tacta Systems has unveiled its first product, the TactaBot™, a robotic manipulation platform designed to perform high-value manufacturing tasks requiring human-like dexterity, precision, and touch sensitivity.
The TactaBot combines three core technologies: the Tacta Hand, a Skill Capture system powered by the Tacta Glove™, and a Dexterous Intelligence AI engine. Together, these components aim to enable robots to perform complex operations such as building precision electronics, seating connector cables, and assembling wire harnesses.
The Tacta Hand uses the company's proprietary Fluidic Tendon™ actuation technology with 15 independently actuated joints, delivering human-scale movement, strength, and precision while maintaining industrial reliability across millions of operating cycles.
Tacta Systems has also developed advanced tactile sensors, smaller than a grain of sand, that recognize a full dynamic range of human touch from 250 pascals to 700,000 pascals. The sensors sample at 400 times per second and can resolve temperature within a tenth of a degree.
The company's Skill Capture system uses the Tacta Glove to collect motion, force, video, and temperature data from workers performing manufacturing tasks. This data is used to train the Dexterous Intelligence AI models, improving robotic adaptability and reducing training time for new tasks.
Co-founded by serial entrepreneurs Andreas Bibl (Executive Chairman) and Vikram Pavate (CEO), Tacta Systems has raised $75 million from investors including Matter Venture Partners, America's Frontier Fund, SoftBank, Woven Capital, B Capital, Yazaki Innovations Inc., EDBI, Sojitz Corporation, CDIB-TEN Capital, B5 Capital, and Tyche Partners.
Vikram Pavate, co-founder and CEO of Tacta Systems, stated:

The TactaBot is scheduled to ship in early 2027 for deployment with initial customers in the electronics, AI infrastructure, and automotive manufacturing industries, with plans to expand into medical devices, aerospace, and defense.
