Schneider Electric Unveils Agentic Manufacturing Capabilities with Microsoft Azure AI at Hannover Messe 2026

Schneider Electric and Microsoft have unveiled new agentic capabilities at Hannover Messe 2026, aimed at transforming manufacturing operations. The collaboration focuses on connecting processes across design, engineering, and daily operations through advanced AI-driven automation.
By integrating Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Automation Expert with Microsoft’s Azure AI and cloud services, the companies are enabling manufacturers to orchestrate, analyse, and optimise industrial processes across on-premises, edge, and hybrid environments.
“From agentic design to software defined operations, Microsoft and Schneider Electric demonstrate a single, interoperable workflow that validates, simulates, and deploys automation logic consistently across cloud and edge,” said Gwenaelle Huet.
The EcoStruxure Automation Expert platform connects engineering intent with real-time execution. It enables reusable logic, lifecycle traceability, and scalable deployment of automation systems across multiple sites without retooling.
Schneider Electric’s industrial copilot, powered by Azure AI, is already improving efficiency. Engineering teams report up to 50% time savings, while production line updates that once took weeks can now be completed within hours.
A real-world deployment at H2E Power highlights the impact. Its system operated autonomously for over 6,000 hours while reducing hydrogen production costs by up to 10%, saving approximately €500,000 annually.
“With agentic design, we’re closing the loop from engineering intent to operational reality, automating decisions and validating early,” said Dayan Rodriguez.
This collaboration underscores how AI-powered, interoperable systems are enabling manufacturers to move faster, reduce costs, and scale intelligent automation across increasingly complex industrial environments.
