Robot.com Unveils R-dog Quadruped Robot for Delivery and Interactive Advertising

Robot.com has unveiled R-dog, a four-legged robotic platform concept designed to address last-100-meter delivery challenges while creating a new interactive out-of-home advertising experience.
Designed for environments where traditional wheeled delivery robots face limitations, R-dog can navigate stairs, curbs, thresholds, and uneven terrain across urban streets, residential areas, campuses, hospitals, and industrial locations.
The quadruped platform features a large onboard compartment designed to carry multiple items, including food orders and standard e-commerce parcels. The robot supports unattended auto drop-off, allowing it to complete deliveries without requiring a hardware change between different payload types.
R-dog also serves as a mobile advertising platform through Robot.com's R-ads suite. Brands will be able to remotely manage campaigns displayed through the robot's dual video screens, creating interactive out-of-home advertising experiences.
Felipe Chavez Cortes, CEO and Co-Founder of Robot.com, stated:
"A decade of building delivery robots has taught us that most robots hit a wall in the final 100 meters, leaving a person to finish the job by hand. R-dog is our answer to that. And we're equally proud of how we built it. REMI is the operating foundation that runs every robot we have. When we wanted to add a quadruped, we didn't need to build a new operational system from the ground up. We built R-dog to run on what already exists, and that is what makes launching a new robot form factor possible at the pace we move."
R-dog operates on Robot.com's REMI fleet management platform and physical API layer, which manages and coordinates the company's robotic fleet. As the platform moves toward production, Robot.com is expanding its collaboration with FieldAI, whose Field Foundation Models (FFMs) are expected to provide the autonomy layer for operating in dynamic environments.

R-dog joins Robot.com's growing portfolio of robotic platforms, including R-kiwi, R-cargo, and R-noid. The company stated that commercial deployments of R-dog are planned for 2027.
