NEURA Robotics Expands to Switzerland with New Zurich Hub
NEURA Robotics
December 9, 2025 (Switzerland) – German robotics innovator NEURA Robotics has officially expanded its European presence by opening a new strategic hub in the Seefeld district of Zurich, marking a significant step in its global growth and research footprint. The new location is set to become a central base for advancing humanoid robotics and “Physical AI,” reinforcing the company’s ambition to lead in autonomous, cognition-driven robot systems.
Located on Zollikerstrasse, the Zurich facility spans 1,800 square meters across three floors, with the first 800 square meters already in operation and the remaining space expected to come online in 2026. This expansion underscores NEURA’s commitment to deepening its research and development capabilities, particularly for its flagship humanoid robot 4NE1 — whose holistic development will now be fully based at this Swiss site. Meanwhile, production activities will continue at the company’s headquarters in Metzingen, Germany.
“With the Neuraverse, we are creating the ecosystem that connects cognitive robots — from industrial to household applications — with infrastructure and devices,” said David Reger, founder and CEO of NEURA Robotics. He emphasized that Zurich’s rich deep-tech scene and proximity to leading research institutions will accelerate innovation across sensor technology, cognitive systems, and Physical AI development.
Key Highlights of NEURA Robotics’ Zurich Expansion
- New Zurich hub established in the Seefeld district to support R&D and strategic partnerships
- Humanoid robot 4NE1 development centralized at the Swiss location
- 1,800 m² facility with phased occupancy through 2026
- Proximity to ETH Zurich and other research institutions enhances talent access
- Site will host teams in development, operations, partner management, and customer experience
The Zurich expansion also positions NEURA Robotics to strengthen collaborations with European industrial partners and research networks as it builds out the Physical AI ecosystem — a framework aimed at integrating robotics intelligence with real-world infrastructure and devices. Reflecting the company’s vision to “serve humanity,” NEURA’s cognitive robots are designed to autonomously see, hear, and feel, with the goal of enhancing safety, productivity, and quality of life in future workplaces and homes.
Industry observers view this move as part of a broader trend of robotics firms anchoring operations in innovation hubs that offer robust research ecosystems and access to top technical talent. The Zurich initiative strengthens NEURA’s global reach and accelerates its roadmap toward bringing general-purpose humanoid robots to market.
