XPeng's Humanoid Unit Dogotix Raises $900M at $6.3B Valuation

XPeng's robotics unit, Dogotix, has raised over $900 million in its initial funding round, valuing the Shenzhen-based company at $5 billion pre-money and over $6.3 billion post-transaction.
The investment represents a record private financing deal for China's embodied AI sector as electric vehicle manufacturers increasingly pivot toward industrializing advanced humanoid robotics platforms.
Dogotix will remain a subsidiary of XPeng, with XPeng CEO He Xiaopeng continuing to lead both enterprises across their shared autonomous technology strategies.
The new funding will support hardware and software development, physical AI model training, data collection, mass-production facilities, and international expansion efforts.
The company is actively developing its IRON humanoid robot, aiming to achieve a production rate of 1,000 units per month by the end of 2026.
Commercial deliveries of the IRON platform are scheduled for 2027, targeting initial deployments inside retail environments and expansive industrial campuses.
Beyond humanoid systems, Dogotix is also developing quadruped and tracked robotic platforms for smart homes, logistics, power inspection, and commercial security operations.
Leveraging XPeng's automaker supply chains and mass-manufacturing capabilities provides Dogotix a distinct structural advantage as physical AI moves from research laboratories into factory environments.
According to Dealroom.co data cited by The Robot Report, global humanoid robotics startups have secured over $8.7 billion in venture capital this year, with Chinese firms accounting for two-thirds of the total.
