AUGSBURG, Germany – KUKA is adding two new robots to its KR CYBERTECH portfolio, introducing 25 kg and 35 kg payload variants while maintaining the same compact footprint as previous models. The new robots are designed to deliver higher performance and flexibility for industrial automation.
“With these two robots, we are following the current trend: machines are becoming more powerful while remaining the same size,” said Markus Hollfelder-Asam, Product Manager at KUKA. “Performance gains are measurable: repeatability has improved with no increase in footprint, and both models are AI-ready and fully compliant with ISO 10218:2025.”
The new KR CYBERTECH robots offer full flexibility during installation. They can be mounted on the floor, wall, or at any angle, making them suitable for applications such as handling, unloading, pick-and-place, and testing tasks.
Both models feature a newly developed central robotic hand with a solid wrist construction that improves rigidity, enhances pick-and-place performance, and accommodates applications with additional process forces. The robots also meet high accuracy standards for demanding applications, such as photovoltaics, and come with IP67 protection for resistance to dust and splash water.
The robots are paired with the latest KR C5 slim controller running iiQKA.OS2, offering a space-saving, powerful solution that can be easily upgraded with additional drive units. Combined with the KUKA smartPLUG teach pendant, the new KR CYBERTECH variants provide a fully integrated, AI-ready system for efficient, future-focused production.
