Hexagon and Schaeffler Begin Training AEON Humanoid Robots at Humanoid Gym

Hexagon Robotics and Schaeffler have announced the next milestone in their strategic collaboration as AEON humanoid robots enter Schaeffler’s Humanoid Gym in Germany for industrial training and validation.
The Humanoid Gym provides a Train-Validate-Deploy model that allows Hexagon Robotics and Schaeffler to teach AEON new manufacturing capabilities while developing internal expertise for operating, training, and integrating humanoid robots into production environments.
AEON will learn industrial tasks through imitation learning and repeated execution, refining robot policies using representative manufacturing applications from Schaeffler factories. This approach helps validate new capabilities while minimizing disruption to existing operations.
The initiative builds on the strategic partnership announced between Schaeffler and Hexagon Robotics in April 2026 to accelerate adoption of industrial humanoid robots. The collaboration includes plans for deploying at least 1,000 AEON humanoids in the coming years.

Schaeffler will also supply advanced actuator technology for AEON, supporting further development and deployment of humanoid robots across manufacturing workflows.
