GMEX Robotics to Acquire MediaMeta.ai to Advance Socially Intelligent Robots

GMEX Robotics Corp. has entered into a definitive share-purchase agreement to acquire an initial 30% equity interest in MediaMeta.ai, a Singapore-based AI company specializing in human behavioral modeling.
The strategic transaction includes options for GMEX to acquire additional shares to obtain a controlling equity interest, expanding its service and social robotics capabilities across commercial and consumer markets.
MediaMeta.ai develops social world models designed to enable AI systems to reason, anticipate, and respond to humans by incorporating behavioral data, cultural context, and environmental signals.
Under the agreement, GMEX secures a perpetual, exclusive, royalty-free technology license covering specified intellectual property, software, AI models, and robotics-related behavioral data.
MediaMeta.ai has agreed to make-good provisions targeting more than $52.6 million in revenues over the next five years, with GMEX entitled to consideration adjustments if targets are missed.
GMEX plans to incorporate MediaMeta.ai's social intelligence capabilities into its AI-powered robots across hospitality, healthcare, education, retail, assisted living, and consumer environments.
Mark March of MediaMeta.ai, stated:
"Social intelligence has long been the missing layer between capable AI systems and meaningful real-world human interaction. Joining forces with GMEX gives us the opportunity to bring contextual awareness and behavioral understanding into robotics applications where trust, empathy, and human collaboration are essential. Together, we believe we can help define the next generation of intelligent machines."
Sam Lu, CEO of GMEX Robotics, stated:
"2026 marks a transformational year for all of us at GMEX. Our next step is to integrate all the critical components for our Terminal + Intelligence platform. The robotics industry stands at an inflection point. At the core of GMEX's strategy is a conviction that shapes every investment decision the company makes: We cannot advance human civilization with technology that does not understand humans."
GMEX, which evolved from a fitness equipment provider, also announced plans to acquire a stake in a California firm specializing in physical AI connectivity and wireless system-on-chip technology.
