Genesis AI Launches Eno General-Purpose Workplace Robot

ByAyshathul Mushrifa

Genesis AI has introduced Eno, a general-purpose workplace robot powered by GENE, the company's robotics-native foundation model designed to enable autonomous, long-horizon task execution across industrial and service environments. The San Carlos, California-based company backed by $105 million in seed funding raised last year, developed Eno around a production mindset that integrates hardware, software and intelligence as a single cohesive system from the ground up.

Rather than mimicking a fully human appearance, Genesis AI designed Eno around human capability. The robot rises from a wheeled mobile base through a minimalist tower of articulated panels that dynamically adjust height and reach in real time and fold down for compact storage when not in use. At the core of the system are Genesis AI's proprietary dexterous robotic hands, engineered to match the form and function of human hands so Eno can seamlessly interact with tools, objects and environments already built for people.

Zhou Xian, Co-Founder and CEO of Genesis AI, stated:

"The only path to creating a robot that can truly deliver value to society and excel in the real world is through intentional design and a single, comprehensive system. From Day 1, we've approached our design and engineering through a production mindset built around bringing our hardware, software, and intelligence together as a whole. Eno is an important step forward for what general-purpose robots can help society achieve, and Eno is just the beginning."

Eno was developed in tandem with GENE, ensuring the robot's body and AI capabilities are optimized as an integrated system. Unlike conventional robots that execute isolated commands, GENE empowers Eno to retain memory, understand contextual objectives, reason through changing conditions and dynamically plan and complete multi-step tasks over extended periods. This enables Eno to function as an active participant in complex operations—managing entire workflows such as keeping production lines stocked, handling warehouse logistics or preparing facilities for the next shift.

To promote transparency and build user trust, Genesis AI is offering Eno with an optional cognitive interface screen that displays what the robot is thinking and doing in real time. The company plans to begin production and targeted customer deployments by the end of 2026, initially focusing on manufacturing, logistics and laboratory customers before expanding into hospitality, healthcare and eventual consumer home applications.
