Unusual Machines Invests Additional $20 Million in XTEND AI Robotics, Total Reaches $27.5 Million

ByMohammed Thaif

Unusual Machines, Inc. has announced an additional $20 million strategic investment in XTEND AI Robotics Inc., a Physical AI company and existing customer.

The investment brings Unusual Machines' total commitment in XTEND to $27.5 million, forming part of the $110 million financing closed alongside XTEND's recent NYSE listing.

Unusual Machines manufactures NDAA-compliant drone components, building a robust domestic supply chain for flight controllers, speed controllers, video systems, motors, and camera technologies.

XTEND develops software systems and Physical AI for high-threat operational environments, powered by its proprietary XTEND Operating System (XOS) for autonomous robotic edge deployments.

Allan Evans, Chief Executive Officer of Unusual Machines, stated:

"We believe drones are part of a much bigger shift toward autonomous systems and robotics. When we look at strategic investments, we look for companies that are expanding what unmanned systems can do, demonstrating an ability to execute, and investing in the U.S. industrial base. XTEND is doing all three very well. We believe they have an important role to play in where the industry is headed."

Aviv Shapira, Chief Executive Officer of XTEND, stated:

"As we begin this next chapter as a public company, we remain focused on delivering NDAA-compliant, American-made Physical AI systems. Unusual Machines is both a supplier and strategic partner to XTEND, and its increased investment reflects the strength of our platform, the depth of our relationship, and the opportunities ahead as we continue winning and delivering programs at scale for U.S. and allied defense customers."

XTEND has deployed over 12,500 systems across 30 countries, supporting national defense, special-mission units, and commercial security organizations globally through its international XFAB facilities.
