Tacta Systems Opens Singapore Facility to Scale Tactile Sensor Production

Tacta Systems, a company pioneering Dexterous Intelligence for robotics, has announced the opening of its new Singapore office and production facility in Woodlands.

The facility will initially focus on manufacturing the Tacta Glove, helping scale its Skill Capture system as the company prepares for customer deployments in early 2027.

The opening comes less than two months after Tacta unveiled its technology. The company's TactaBot platform combines its proprietary Tacta Hand and AI engine for high-value work.

Central to the system, the Tacta Glove is worn by skilled workers to capture force, motion, and temperature data needed to teach robotic hands new physical skills.

Vikram Pavate, Co-founder and CEO of Tacta Systems, stated:

"When we unveiled Tacta, we showed that robots can finally have the touch and dexterity needed for high-value manufacturing work. Now the focus is on scaling that technology. Singapore has the manufacturing expertise, engineering talent, and semiconductor ecosystem to help us do that. This facility gives us a strong base to grow from as we move toward customer deployments next year."

Tacta is working alongside the **A*STAR Institute of Microelectronics** to scale production of the tactile sensors at the core of its proprietary physical AI technology.

Supported by the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) and EDBI, Singapore will serve as Tacta's first engineering and manufacturing hub outside the United States.
