Robust.AI Names Marin Tchakarov as New CEO as Carter Deployments Grow

Robust.AI, developer of the autonomous Carter mobile robot system, has appointed Marin Tchakarov as its new Chief Executive Officer as the company passes more than 100 Carter deployments and prepares a new robotics, software, and services platform.
Tchakarov brings more than 30 years of technology experience. He most recently served as CEO of Fox Robotics, helping scale the company ahead of its acquisition by Symbotic. Earlier, he led Kindred Systems, where robot deployments grew by more than 300% before its acquisition by Ocado Group for a reported $262 million.
John Spinale, Managing Partner at Jazz Venture Partners and a Robust.AI board member, stated:
“Some CEOs are good at winning business, others are good at operations, and yet others are good at predicting where the market is headed. Marin is the rare executive who is good at all three.”
Marin Tchakarov stated:
“I am very excited to join the Robust.AI team at such a pivotal moment in the company’s arc. Carter is a mature product already driving strong value and ROI for our customers, and I am eager to help realize the full potential of this momentum.”
Carter is a fully autonomous smart cart designed for logistics workflows including picking, conveyor loops, putaway, and point-to-point transportation. Robust.AI says deployments are doubling every six months, with customers including DHL Supply Chain, O’Neill Logistics, ShipLab, and Saddle Creek Logistics Services.
The company is expanding Carter through partnerships with Aptiv, which will add radar sensing, and Foxconn, which will support manufacturing scale.
Later this year, Robust.AI plans to launch a platform that turns Carter fleet sensor, transactional, and computer-vision data into operational intelligence for warehouse layout and labor utilization.
As part of the leadership transition, co-founder and outgoing CEO Anthony Jules will become Chief Innovation Officer, focusing on strategic physical AI initiatives.
