Neura Robotics and Seco Partner on Physical AI and European Robot Compute

ByAyshathul Mushrifa

Neura Robotics and Italian edge AI company Seco have formed a strategic partnership covering robot computing hardware, industrial data collection, and physical AI automation for manufacturing applications.

Seco will design, engineer, and manufacture electronic compute modules for Neura's cognitive robots, including the 4NE1 humanoid. The modules will use Qualcomm Dragonwing processors within Neura's distributed computing architecture.

Neura describes its design as a Brain + Nervous System architecture, distributing sensing and processing throughout each robot. Its Smart Limb concept places compute closer to joints and sensors to support responsive, real-time control.

Seco will help engineer and industrialize the corresponding modules, which are expected to be developed and manufactured in Europe. The collaboration combines Seco's embedded computing expertise with Neura's cognitive robotics platform and Qualcomm's processing technology.

The companies also plan to establish a Neura Gym in Italy, marking Neura's first training hub in Southern Europe. They will collect real-world production data from robots operating in industrial environments.

Neura and Seco intend to apply that data to physical AI systems for semiconductor and electronics manufacturing. The work will focus on training machines to perform increasingly complex production processes and transferring those capabilities across manufacturing sites.

Through the project, the companies aim to generate training data from real industrial processes and develop physical AI solutions that could eventually be deployed across international semiconductor manufacturing operations.

The partnership supports Neura's broader Neuraverse strategy, which aims to transform skills learned through real-world applications into reusable capabilities for intelligent machines. It also advances a European physical AI ecosystem built around regional robotics, manufacturing, and engineering expertise.
