iRobot Launches Roomba Max 875 Combo Robot With AutoWash Dock

iRobot has introduced the Roomba Max 875 Combo Robot + AutoWash Dock, positioning the flagship vacuum-and-mop system as its most advanced and powerful floor-cleaning robot to date.

The machine debuts SealForce Vacuuming Technology, which lowers a chassis skirt against carpet fibers to concentrate airflow where debris collects. Combined with airflow of 20 liters per second and 35,000 Pa suction, it delivers three times deeper carpet cleaning than standard vacuuming without SealForce.

Adam Pope, Vice President and Chief Engineer at iRobot, noted: “More suction helps, but the seal is what takes it to a level beyond what's previously been possible.” The mechanical design prevents airflow from escaping around the edges.

For mopping, ThermaMist Technology continuously applies heated mist to loosen dried-on spills. The self-cleaning PowerSpin Max Roller Mop rotates at 300 RPM with 18 newtons of downward pressure, while PerfectEdge extends cleaning capability toward baseboards and walls.

The AI-powered DriLift Technology detects carpet, raises the roller mop and lowers a protective shield to keep rugs completely dry. ClearView Pro Dual-Line LiDAR supports room mapping, while PrecisionVision AI recognizes and avoids over 300 household obstacles.

The AutoWash Dock cleans the roller using water heated to 80°C, dries it with 55°C air and automatically dispenses cleaning concentrate. It also empties debris into an AllergenLock bag supporting up to 90 days of maintenance-free operation.

At 9.98 cm high, the robot cleans beneath low furniture and crosses thresholds up to 3.5 cm. The Roomba Home App provides room targeting, customized schedules and voice control through Alexa, Siri and Google Assistant.

The Roomba Max 875 Combo became available through iRobot's official website on September 2 for £1,099. The consumer robotics leader has sold over 50 million robots worldwide.
