iRobot Launches Roomba Electro Plus and New Generation of Roomba Robots

iRobot has introduced Roomba Electro Plus, a new 5-in-1 disinfecting hard floor cleaner, alongside a new generation of Roomba robot models designed to deliver smarter, safer, and more effective floor care solutions for modern households.
The Bedford, Massachusetts-based consumer robotics company said the expanded portfolio represents its largest product evolution in years, extending beyond robotic vacuuming into a broader floor care ecosystem. The launch combines manual cleaning innovation with advanced autonomous robot technologies.
Jennifer Lichtenheim, SVP and General Manager, Americas at iRobot, stated:
"Innovation in floor care shouldn't create more complexity for consumers. With the introduction of the Roomba Electro Plus and continued advancements across our Roomba robot portfolio, we're expanding the possibilities of floor care with solutions that are smarter, safer, more intuitive, and designed around the real needs of today's households."
Roomba Electro Plus is a cordless 5-in-1 hard floor cleaner that combines vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting in one device. Powered by electrolyzed water technology, the system uses only tap water to create a disinfecting solution that kills 99.99% of bacteria, viruses, fungi, and germs without added chemicals or steam. The device includes PowerSpin Roller Mop technology, Dirt Detect technology, anti-hair wrap features, and the ThermaClean dock for self-washing and drying.
iRobot highlighted:
"The new Roomba lineup delivers increased suction, smarter navigation, greater automation, and improved intelligence, helping consumers maintain cleaner homes with less effort."
The company also introduced five new robot models, including Roomba Max 775 Combo, Roomba Max 715 Vacuum Robot, Roomba Plus 575 Combo, Roomba Plus 515 Combo, and Roomba Plus 415 Combo. The robots feature enhanced suction, LiDAR-based mapping, PrecisionVision AI obstacle detection, and automated docking systems.
iRobot plans to continue expanding its consumer robotics ecosystem by combining autonomous cleaning technologies with intelligent home solutions. The new products are available for pre-sale through iRobot's website and will launch through select retailers later in 2026.
