Green Clean Commercial has been acquired by SoftBank Robotics America to launch Smart Building X (SBX) in North America. This move advances commercial facilities management by combining AI, robotics, automation, and human expertise, delivering smarter, data-driven operations and bringing a globally proven smart building model to the United States.
Founded in 2008, Green Clean Commercial has established a strong U.S. presence, serving Fortune 100 clients across industries. Under the new structure, it will operate as the core service engine within SBX, rebranded as Green Clean Commercial, powered by SBX, evolving from janitorial services into an AI-enabled partner.
The acquisition aligns SBX with SoftBank Robotics America’s leadership in robotics and AI integration. Combining SBX’s service platform with advanced automation and autonomous systems, the partnership aims to scale intelligent building technologies, emphasizing predictive intelligence, operational efficiency, and measurable performance outcomes across diverse commercial environments.
Elliott Stipes, Founder and CEO of Green Clean Commercial, stated:
“SBX represents an important strategic leap for the future of the company. The facility services industry is moving toward intelligent buildings, automation, and measurable outcomes. SBX allows us to deliver that future immediately, supported by advanced technology and aligned with a global innovation leader.”
Brady Watkins, President and GM of SoftBank Robotics America, added:
“Green Clean Commercial demonstrates the operational strength, commitment to clients, and readiness for innovation that we believe defines the future of smart facilities. Their leadership team understands how to merge robotics, AI, and service execution into a single performance model. SBX positions them to scale these capabilities nationally, and we are excited to support their vision for transforming how buildings operate.”
The SBX platform is designed to enable seamless integration of robotics and AI into traditional facility services, creating a unified system that enhances efficiency, reduces costs, and delivers real-time insights. By leveraging advanced automation and scalable infrastructure, the partnership sets the stage for a new era of intelligent, performance-driven building management.
Both SBX and Green Clean Commercial are expected to announce further updates in the coming months, including expansion plans, new technology integrations, and additional service offerings aimed at redefining the future of smart facilities management.
