Anduril Named Official Title Sponsor of the 2026 Murph Challenge

ByAnduril Communications

Anduril Industries has announced its role as the Official Title Sponsor of The Murph Challenge, honoring the legacy of Michael P. Murphy and supporting military communities.

On June 28, 2005, Navy SEAL Lieutenant Michael P. Murphy left cover during a firefight in the mountains of Afghanistan to find high ground and call for help for his team. He knew what it would cost him, but he made the call anyway. He was 29. For his act of selfless courage, he was posthumously awarded the Medal of Honor — the first member of the U.S. Navy to receive it since the Vietnam War. Those who knew him remember him as someone who always ran toward people in need.

Murphy’s favorite workout included a one-mile run, 100 pull-ups, 200 push-ups, 300 air squats, and another one-mile run, which he called “Body Armor.” Today, thousands complete this workout every Memorial Day weekend in his honor as The Murph.

At Anduril, participation in The Murph began in 2022 with small internal groups and expanded in 2025 with a large event alongside the Los Angeles Chargers at The Bolt in El Segundo, bringing together participants of all fitness levels.

This year, Anduril is expanding its involvement with public events on May 22 at Veterans Memorial Stadium in Long Beach, California, and Jesse Owens Memorial Stadium in Columbus, Ohio. Doors open at 7:30 AM and the workout begins at 9:00 AM.

Participants can also complete The Murph from anywhere, including gyms, homes, or military bases.

For every registered participant, Anduril will donate $5 to military nonprofits, including the Michael P. Murphy Foundation, with a goal of raising $150,000 over Memorial Day weekend.
