ABB Launches AI-Powered Flexley Stack F712 Autonomous Forklift AMR

ABB Robotics has expanded its Autonomous Mobile Robot (AMR) portfolio with the launch of the Flexley® Stack F712, an AI-powered autonomous forklift that completes the company's Visual SLAM-based mobile robotics ecosystem. The new platform enables manufacturers and warehouse operators to automate pallet transport, end-of-line handling, storage and retrieval while managing forklifts, tugs and movers through a unified software environment.

The Flexley Stack F712 extends ABB's AI-powered Visual SLAM navigation technology to autonomous forklifts, eliminating the need for fixed infrastructure such as reflectors or floor markers. Designed for demanding intralogistics applications, the forklift can transport loads of up to 2,000 kg and stack materials at heights reaching 8.5 meters, making it suitable for automotive, logistics and industrial manufacturing environments.

Powered by ABB Robotics' AMR Studio®, the Visual SLAM system delivers positional accuracy of ±10 mm while reducing commissioning time by up to 20 percent. The no-code software platform supports fleet management, traffic coordination, real-time visualization and VDA5050 compatibility, enabling seamless interoperability between ABB's autonomous forklifts, movers and tug robots.

The Flexley Stack F712 is certified to the latest ISO and ANSI safety standards and operates at speeds of up to 1.7 m/s while carrying loads. ABB expects the platform to help manufacturers improve warehouse efficiency, increase operational flexibility and accelerate deployment of scalable AI-powered material handling automation across global industrial facilities.
